AutoNavi Co-organized “National Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day” Event

In order to further reinforce the publicity of Surveying and Mapping Law System, popularize the legal and professional knowledge of surveying and mapping, and enhance the legal awareness of surveying and mapping in all society, State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping held the “2007 National Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day”. As the co-organizer of the activity, AutoNavi Software Co., Ltd. attached great importance on the work of Publicity Day, and recently attended the event.

The forum issued the theme, slogans, public SMS and publicity logo of “2007 National Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day”, and announced the winner list of theme and slogan collection activities of National Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day.

This year is the fifth anniversary of the implementation of revised Surveying and Mapping Law of the People’s Republic of China, and the essential moment of carrying out the Fifth Five Year Plan of law dissemination of surveying and mapping system. The Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day this year will focus on new achievement in surveying and mapping services, new advancement in building of the legal system, new breakthroughs in centralized supervision and management of surveying and mapping, and new improvement in surveying and mapping capability since the implementation of the revised Surveying and Mapping Law of the People’s Republic of China. It is to popularize the legal and professional knowledge of surveying and mapping and to display basic protection given by fruits of surveying and mapping in the national economy, national defense building, social development and people’s life.

At the seminar, Mr. Cheng Congwu, the president of AutoNavi Software Co., Ltd., said that AutoNavi had fully recognized the importance and difficulty of Surveying and Mapping Law publicity and is determined to deeply study the Surveying and Mapping Law and actively implement the relevant provisions.
